Terms & Conditions

LB Garage Door Repair • Last updated 22 September 2026
These Terms apply to website use, quotations, bookings and garage door repair services supplied by Adam Burson, ABN 40 370 595 622, operating under the LB Garage Door Repair brand as a sole trader.
1. Our Service
We provide mobile garage door repair and related services across Sydney and surrounding suburbs in New South Wales. We do not operate a physical walk-in storefront or office for client visits.
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All attendance is by prior arrangement with the customer and subject to an agreed appointment or attendance time.
2. Quotes, Bookings and Acceptance
A quote may be provided verbally, in writing, electronically or following an inspection. Unless stated otherwise, prices quoted to consumers include GST.
A booking is confirmed when we accept the requested work and agree an appointment or attendance arrangement with you.
If additional faults, concealed damage or additional work are identified after work begins, we will explain the issue and obtain your approval before carrying out additional chargeable work.
3. No Call-Out Fee
We do not charge a call-out fee unless a different arrangement is specifically disclosed and agreed with you before attendance.
4. Access and Customer Responsibilities
You must provide safe and reasonable access to the garage door, motor, controls and relevant work area at the agreed time.
You confirm that you are the owner of the premises or otherwise authorised to approve the work.
Please tell us about known hazards, electrical issues, structural defects, previous modifications or other matters that may affect safe performance of the work.
5. Safety and Right to Suspend Work
We may pause, refuse or reschedule work where we reasonably believe the work area is unsafe, inaccessible, unlawful or creates an unacceptable risk to people, property or equipment.
6. Existing and Unrelated Faults
Unless specifically included in the agreed scope, we are not responsible for pre-existing defects, unrelated faults, structural movement, building defects, electrical supply problems or components that we did not supply, replace or repair.
This clause does not exclude any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Parts and Materials
Parts supplied by us will be selected as reasonably suitable for the relevant repair. Where an exact original part is unavailable, we may propose a compatible replacement.
If we agree to install a customer-supplied part, our 18-month parts warranty does not apply to that customer-supplied part, although non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.
8. 18-Month Parts Warranty
Replacement parts supplied and installed by us are covered by our separate 18-Month Parts Warranty Terms. The 18-month commercial warranty applies to covered replacement parts only.
For an accepted warranty claim relating to a covered part, the replacement part, our attendance and the labour required to replace that covered part are provided without charge.
This commercial warranty does not create a separate 18-month warranty over unrelated existing components or third-party parts, and it does not limit any rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Payment
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the agreed work unless we agree otherwise in writing.
We accept card, cash and bank transfer.
Prices quoted to consumers include GST unless clearly stated otherwise.
10. Photographs and Job Records
With your permission, we may photograph the garage door, components or work area for diagnosis, job records, quality control, warranty administration, safety, insurance or dispute-resolution purposes.
We will not use identifiable photographs of your property for promotional or social media purposes without separate consent.
11. Appointment Times and Delays
We operate 24/7 and arrange attendance directly with each customer. Appointment and arrival times are agreed with you and may be affected by traffic, weather, safety issues, previous emergency jobs, parts availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a material delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and arrange an appropriate attendance time.
12. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Services supplied to consumers are subject to non-excludable consumer guarantees, including that services are provided with due care and skill and are fit for an agreed purpose where those guarantees apply.
13. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by:
• pre-existing defects or conditions not caused by our work;
• third-party repairs, alterations, interference or misuse after our work;
• customer-supplied parts or equipment;
• accident, impact, vandalism, pests, water, fire, storm, power surge, structural movement or other external events;
• a failure to follow reasonable operating or safety instructions.
This limitation does not apply to the extent that loss or damage is caused by our negligence, breach of contract, breach of a non-excludable consumer guarantee or where the law otherwise requires us to be responsible.
14. Website Information
Website content is general information only. A website enquiry does not create a service booking until we confirm the booking with you.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website branding, original text, graphics and other original website content are owned by or licensed to us and may not be reproduced for commercial use without permission.
16. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applying to a particular job is the version provided or available when that job is booked, except where a later change is required by law or agreed with you.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have to bring a matter in another jurisdiction where applicable law permits.
